Harvest Hoedown - Fall Fundraiser

The Hoedown rallies and unifies the St. Mary’s community around a common cause: to raise money to support our mission to challenge our diverse student body, to grow morally, academically and socially into passionate, confident and Christ-centered leaders of the 21st century. Our Harvest Hoedown donations support our STREAM (Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Art, and Math) Education Programs!

Our Fall Fundraiser, which helps kick-off our 2019-2020 Annual Giving Campaign, supports St. Mary STREAM Education! Our 13th Annual Harvest Hoedown was a great success! Nearly 700 guests were in attendance, making this our biggest Hoedown to date!

Thanks to our fantastic coordinators along with over 25 parent volunteers and over 40 alumni volunteers, the Hoedown went off without a hitch! We are so thankful for their dedication to St. Mary Interparochial School.

Locust Street and our school building was packed with members of our school community, friends, family, teachers, staff and alumni, celebrating our annual fall festival!

We had many fun Hoedown activities, including a STREAM table,

where students created secret messages using cranberry juice and baking soda, and even a disappearing "ghost" science experiment!

New this year, we asked our 5th through 8th grades to create games for our game tent. Our classes came up with wonderful and creative ideas, including a ring toss, a photo booth and even "Boo-ling"!

We served delicious food from local restaurants, such as Campo's Cheesesteaks, Stogie Joe's, Square Pie Pizza, Organico Pizza, Las Cazuelas, and the Messina Family! Thank you to our food donors for providing us with such great food!

Our bake table was a huge success once again this year - over 30 parents volunteered to bake treats for the school! Thank you!

Congratulations, to Simone A. Fera, Class of 2014, who was named our Harding Alumni Award Winner for demonstrating excellence in service to the community.

Simone Fera continued to shine her St. Mary's light during her high school days by volunteering countless hours at the after school STEAM programming K-4th, and continues to volunteer at Catholic University.

Simone is a true example of our mission statement, which calls us to shape "Christ-centered leaders of the 21st Century".

Congratulations, Simone!

The St. Joseph the Worker Award was presented to the Aguilar Family for demonstrating exceptional support to our school.

Over many years, the Aguilar family has gone above and beyond to help our school community thrive, both personally and through their business, Las Cazuelas, and we are so very grateful! We thank them for their steadfast dedication to St. Mary Interparochial School!

Over 40 high school and college St. Mary Alum participated in our annual Alumni Service Day! Each year our alumni help pull off this incredible event by working hard from start to finish. It's always fun to see the informal reunion take place between both classmates and teachers.

Our Harvest Hoedown Royal Court consists of those who sold the most raffle tickets for our Hoedown in grades K-4 and 5-8.

This year, we crowned Kayla (3rd) as our Princess, Christian (2nd) as our Prince, Lindsay (7th) as our Queen, Michael (7th) as our King. Congratulations to our 2019 Hoedown royalty!

Our K through 4th classes made amazing scarecrows this year, with the help of our teachers and Classroom Captains! Our 1st Grade class was the winner of the Scarecrow Contest and will be celebrating with a dress down day. Congratulations, 1st Grade!

Thank you to all of our sponsors, parent volunteers, donors, alumni, bakers, classroom captains, teachers, staff, students and Harvest Hoedown Committee for helping to make this the most successful Harvest Hoedown yet!
