2020 Walkathon Update

Dear Saint Mary Families and Friends,

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to our annual Walkathon Campaign as a sponsor and through Letters to Loved Ones. We are greatly appreciative of your generosity.

For 18 years, the Walkathon has rallied and unified our school community. It will continue to do so this year — whether we are physically together or in our homes. At this time, the Walkathon is still scheduled for Wednesday, May 20. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, plans for the physical Walkathon will be adjusted as needed based on the school calendar, government guidelines, and best practices for the health and safety of the Saint Mary community.

While we may not know now where we will be on May 20, we do know that supporting the art, music, and language enrichment programs at Saint Mary is more important than ever. As such, the Walkathon campaign will continue, and, in light of the economic impact of the pandemic on the school community, this year it also will support other mission-driven programs.

Funds raised through the Walkathon will support families who have suffered severe hardships and need tuition assistance relief for this school year; continued compensation for our dedicated teachers; and necessary supplies for our students.

To date, more than $8,000 has been raised through sponsorships and donations. If you are able, please consider supporting the Walkathon so we can reach our $40,000 goal.  Your contribution will have an immediate impact and will help to sustain our school community during this crisis.

Thank you for your commitment to Saint Mary and to our faculty and staff who continue to challenge our students to grow morally, academically, and socially into passionate, confident, Christ-centered leaders for this ever-changing 21st century.

Be well and be safe.

Sincerely,

Matthew and Susan Koger
