Last month, we were invited to host a STREAM Professional Development for Our Lady of Hope Philly and St. Pio Catholic Regional School! Mrs. Pimpinella, our Honors Math, Spanish, and Religion teacher, and Ms. Pugliese, our principal, led discussions about the 4C Model: Communication, Collaboration, Creativity, and Critical Thinking, and taught the teachers how to use different strategies in their grade-level classrooms.
The teachers were broken up into their respective grade groups, K-2, 3-5, and 6-8, and participated in individual learning sessions where they completed Breakout EDU activities utilizing the 4C model to reach their goal.
Afterward, the teachers reflected on why it is important to apply those skills in their classrooms and discussed how they can modify their classroom instruction to utilize the 4C model in their everyday classroom setting.
We are grateful for the opportunity to share our skills and knowledge with our fellow schools!
Our STREAM program is funded by the Archdiocesan Educational Fund STREAM Grant.
