Dear St. Mary Families,

Thank you for your investment in your child(ren)’s Catholic education at St. Mary Interparochial School, a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence.  We are honored to be your premier Catholic school in Philadelphia and as we begin a new year as well as a new decade, we are eager to continue in providing excellence in education and partnering with you in building the hearts, minds, and futures of the students of St. Mary School!

St. Mary teachers and staff strive to provide a Catholic education for those families who seek it for their children. In addition to the rigorous and relevant curriculum prescribed by the Office of Catholic Education of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, our school provides for the arts education of its students. We are pleased to continue to provide a comprehensive Music, Art, Spanish, Technology and Physical Education program to all students, and along with a robust and varied afterschool enrichment program.

In appreciation of your dedication to our religious and academic programs, we ask you to make a commitment to have your child(ren) attend St. Mary School for the 2020-2021 school year.  By committing now, the administration will be able to create a budget that will truly reflect our income/expenses for the upcoming year. It will also provide us with the barometer we need to admit those families who await acceptance decisions for their children to attend our school.

The commitment period is from January 17 through Friday, February 7, 2020 and to guarantee your child’s seat for 2020-2021 in Grades 1-8, please remit the $150.00 Family Commitment Fee which is non-refundable and per family.  For families with an incoming Kindergarten child, the non-refundable Family Commitment Fee is $250.00 and also per family.  In addition, please complete, sign and return the Student Record Form for each child.  A PDF of the form is attached and a hard copy will also be sent home.

Please note: on Monday, February 10, 2020 the Family Commitment fee will be increased to $200.00 per family.  Additionally, tuition for the current school year must be paid up to date in order to enroll your student(s) for the 2020-2021 school year.

FINANCIAL AID AND TUITION ASSISTANCE:

The form for the Children’s Scholarship Fund (CSF) scholarship, which is available for Philadelphia residents, may be accessed online at www.csfphiladelphia.org until March 1, 2020. The Business Leaders Organized for Catholic Schools (BLOCS) is another scholarship organization that uses a third-party, FACTS, to determine eligibility and the site may be accessed by clicking https://factsmgt.com, or you may also visit the Archdiocese of Philadelphia website at https://www.aopcatholicschools.org/financial-aid/ for additional information as well.

Our school code is 91072 and please note, while the application period officially extends into the summer for BLOCS and March 1 for CSF, we strongly encourage all families to apply for financial aid as soon as possible as historically, the earlier an application is received, the more likely funding is available for qualified families.

For the 2019-2020 year, our families received over $165, 000 from BLOCS, CSF, FCE, and the Bridge Educational Foundation. Additionally, if you qualify for, but are not awarded assistance through BLOCS, CSF, or FCE, we will try our best to assist as many qualified families as possible. The St. Mary School Financial Aid Program designates a portion of its Annual Giving Campaign to provide scholarships to as many qualified families as possible from funds donated by our generous supporters.

Thank you once again for sending your child(ren) to St. Mary Interparochial School!

Sincerely,

Jayda Pugliese
