With your support, we raised over $7,000 at our Walkathon Parents and Friends Social! Thank you!
We had a wonderful night kicking off our annual Walkathon Fundraiser with our St. Mary Family and Friends! Our St. Mary Community was treated to drinks, appetizers, and wonderful prizes raffled off throughout the night. Thank you to everyone who came out to show support for our 17th Annual Walkathon.
Because of your continued support of this annual Arts fundraiser, all St. Mary Students will now have access to a weekly art class! Thank you for continuing to allow us to provide so many benefits for your children.
The Walkathon itself will explore the Trees of Philadelphia. Throughout the spring, our students will learn how trees have been culturally, environmentally, and symbolically significant to Philadelphia. As part of this, we are excited to announce that students in grades 1-4 will be treated to a field trip to the Morris Arboretum in early May!
In addition, our friends at the National Parks Service will be teaching our students about botanical life within Independence Historical Park. Our amazing teachers will be incorporating trees into history and STEAM lessons, and Mrs. Bridy has endless ideas for how to turn trees into beautiful art.
